Introducing Our New Volunteer Incentive Program!

We need your help keeping the PTO going!  How about if we pay you?  Volunteer for an event or position and earn raffle tickets for a $100 gift card of your choice!  Check out this page for the many volunteer opportunities available.

How Can I Volunteer?

If you would like to volunteer virtually or in person in the classroom or for an event, be sure to fill out the D62 volunteer application.  Please review this tip sheet to help you fill out the application.

From donating time to spreading the word about fundraisers, there are opportunities to volunteer for everyone!  Here are some of the ways you can support the PTO:

Have a middle or high schooler?  These opportunities are eligible for service hours towards their school requirement!

Please note: 
Adults working with or around students must have a volunteer application on file.

Event Support
  • Bake sale after 2nd/3rd grade concert, February 15th, immediately after the concert ends.  Concert begins at 6:00 pm. Setup/cashier/cleanup.  Approximately 1 - 2 hour commitment.
  • Bake sale goods donation, February 15th.  Donate a baked good to be sold at the bake sale after the 2nd/3rd grade concert. 
  • BINGO/Game Night, Thursday, March 16th, 2023, 3:30 setup - 6:30 pm cleanup.  Setup/cashier/manning tables/event support/cleanup.  Shifts between 3:30 pm and ending by 7:30 pm.
  • Kindergarten Open House, Thursday, May 18th, 2023, 4:15 - 5:45 pm.  Represent the PTO at an information table.  Approximately 1 hour and 30 minute time commitment. 

Chairs and Co-Chairs
A co-chair or chair is/are the point person(s) in charge of an event or specific area.  It is a one year commitment, although if you are able to continue it is highly encouraged.

Head Room Parents and Room Parents
Head room parents plan and organize four parties a year:  Halloween, Holiday, Valentine's Day and End of the Year.   Room parents support these parties by attending and helping with the party, assisting in planning tasks, or donating goods for the party.   Read more about room parents here!
